‘You Can’t Take Over Us’: Alipov’s Blunt Nuclear Warning on Ukraine War

“You can’t, you know, take over us in this conflict,” Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov delivered as a blunt message to the West, citing his country’s nuclear arsenal.
“Simply because of our nuclear weapons,” he reiterated at an event in Gurugram, presenting this as the single most important fact of the nearly four-year-long war.
He explained that Russia’s doctrine includes the “possibility” of using these weapons if the state’s existence is threatened.
Given this, Alipov mocked European hopes for a Ukrainian victory as “childish behavior” and “craziness,” calling the belief “unprofessional.”
He also claimed Donald Trump, unlike European leaders, “understands” this reality and knows the war is “lost by Ukraine and the West,” despite the billions in aid sent to Kyiv.
