SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 22, 2025 — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., a global automotive manufacturer, and LiCAP Technologies, Inc., a U.S.-based leader in sustainable electrode engineering, have formalized a strategic partnership. This alliance is designed to accelerate the industrialization of dry cathode electrode processes for all-solid-state battery (ASSB) applications.
This collaboration, building on prior joint research, will focus on scaling LiCAP’s proprietary Activated Dry Electrode® technology. This solvent-free, high-efficiency process offers significant environmental and economic advantages over conventional electrode fabrication methods. The partnership directly aligns with Nissan’s Ambition 2030 initiative, reinforcing its commitment to developing sustainable energy solutions and next-generation electric vehicles.
